Earlier this week, we looked at the 10 highest-graded defensive players for the Baltimore Ravens in the PFF era (since 2006). We’re now switching our focus to the offensive side of the ball. While the defense has often led the way for this franchise, there have still been plenty of standouts on offense.
1. OT Jonathan Ogden
- PFF Grade: 95.3
- Snaps: 1,477
We have just two seasons of data and grading on the Hall of Fame left tackle, and they came at the end of his career as he dealt with injuries. But he was still a top-tier tackle in that span. An elite pass protector, Ogden allowed just 18 pressures from his final 859 pass-blocking snaps with the team that made him the first draft selection in franchise history back in 1996.
2. OG Marshal Yanda
- PFF Grade: 93.0
- Snaps: 12,257
Yanda spent his entire 13-year career in Baltimore and produced a PFF grade above 80.0 in every one of those seasons. While he was a guard for most of his career, he started at right tackle as a rookie and was one of the best in the league, so he very well could have been a Hall of Fame-caliber tackle, too.
3. TE Mark Andrews
- PFF Grade: 91.2
- Snaps: 3,426
The best pass catcher on the roster throughout the Lamar Jackson era in Baltimore, Andrews has established himself among the best tight ends in the league since arriving as a third-round draft pick out of Oklahoma. A safe pair of hands to target, he has dropped just 6.8% of the passes thrown his way in his five NFL seasons.
4. RB Gus Edwards
- PFF Grade: 90.5
- Snaps: 1,299
Edwards has been incredibly efficient for the Ravens over his four-year career, averaging 5.1 yards per carry on 542 rushing attempts including the playoffs. A physical runner who is tough to stop on first contact, he has averaged 3.4 yards after contact per carry in his NFL tenure, fifth among the 47 players with 400 carries in that span including the playoffs.
5. OT Jared Gaither
- PFF Grade: 90.2
- Snaps: 2,220
Perhaps a surprise player on this list given how quickly his career faded, Gaither was impressive as a pass blocker in his time with the Ravens. From 2007 and 2009, he earned an 82.0-plus PFF pass-blocking grade in each season and allowed just 44 total pressures across 1,110 pass-blocking snaps in that span.
6. WR Derrick Mason
- PFF Grade: 88.4
- Snaps: 5,084
Mason arrived in Baltimore for his 10th season in the NFL and went on to be one of the best wide receivers in franchise history over the next five seasons. Including the playoffs, he saw 100 or more targets in every season with the Ravens and earned a PFF receiving grade above 74.0. He dropped just 5.4% of the catchable passes thrown his way in Baltimore.
7. C Matt Birk
- PFF Grade: 86.2
- Snaps: 4,822
The Ravens' starting center for the final four seasons of his career, Birk solidified the middle of their offensive line when he arrived and proved to be a key part of their 2012 Super Bowl win. He earned PFF grades of 76.0 or better in all four seasons with the Ravens and recorded a PFF pass-blocking grade above 82.0 in three of the four, too.
8. WR Steve Smith Sr.
- PFF Grade: 86.0
- Snaps: 1,985
Another player who spent the final years of their career in Baltimore, Smith became a favorite target of quarterback Joe Flacco as soon as he arrived. All three seasons of his Ravens career saw him earn PFF receiving grades of 75.0 or better, and he forced 47 missed tackles on 203 receptions including the playoffs.
9. QB Lamar Jackson
- PFF Grade: 85.6
- Snaps: 4,280
The most exciting player in Ravens history, Jackson re-energized the franchise and city when he arrived as the 32nd selection in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Louisville. His historic 2019 season, in which he set a single-season quarterback rushing record while also leading the league in passing touchdowns, remains the highest-graded season of his career (90.1).
10. OT Ronnie Stanley
- PFF Grade: 83.8
- Snaps: 5,070
One of the most natural pass blockers in the NFL, Stanley developed into an elite left tackle over the first five years of his career, earning PFF pass-blocking grades above 90.0 in both 2019 and 2020. A devastating injury early in the 2020 season robbed him of most of that season and the following one, but he was able to get back on track in 2022, allowing just 16 total pressures on 334 pass-blocking snaps and earning an 82.2 PFF pass-blocking grade.
